What is normally checked during custom plush inspection?

Inspection is not choosing the best-looking sample. It checks whether finished goods match agreed references and requirements at the points most likely to affect the project.

Start appearance checks with the whole item

Review proportion, silhouette, expression, left-right balance and obvious color variation or stains. Appearance should be checked against the approved sample, images and written requirements, not a temporary impression.

Measure the key dimensions and structures

Not every point needs the same measurement method, but head-body proportion, main lengths, component joins and deformation-prone areas commonly deserve attention. Dimensional tolerances should be defined for the project.

Review sewing, embroidery and components separately

Look for open seams, skipped stitches, obvious loose threads, embroidery displacement, graphic clarity and component attachment. Risks differ by design: hanging parts, clothing, plastic components or long-pile fabric may each need dedicated checks.

Packing and counts are part of delivery

Outer cartons, inner bags, labels, barcodes, packing counts and protective methods all affect delivery. Even when the plush itself is acceptable, packing errors can disrupt receiving, sale or distribution.

Set the reference before inspecting

Use the approved sample, images, dimension sheet or project file as the reference.
List character-critical and high-risk points instead of writing only “good quality.”
Discuss issues by reworkability, scope and delivery risk.
